The Bursary Program is designed to assist students who are entering or continuing their post secondary education (including courses and training programs of a technical and vocational nature) and pursue the same course throughout their academic years.
The deadline to apply for the 2022/23 Bursary Program is the last Friday of March 2023.
Approved bursary assistance is not based upon scholastic standing but rather on the successful admission status to a post secondary institution or successful completion of one or more years leading to a recognized degree, diploma or certificate.

Toronto Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC)
Today I visited the Toronto Military Family Resource Centre and learned about the great work they do to support Canadian Military & Veteran Families. They provide information and education, community service referrals, interventions and referral to counselling services, mental health services for families of ill and injured military members and families of the fallen, transitional support for medically releasing and medically released Veterans, and child care. Military Service Recognition Book – Submissions Wanted for 2023 Edition
Hello Comrades:
As the “Keepers of Remembrance”, Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command is proud to publish an annual Military Service Recognition Book to identify and recognize many of our Veterans in Ontario, who have either served or are still serving in our Canadian Armed Forces, the Commonwealth or Allied Forces.
Everyone is welcome to submit a story, including Veterans, relatives or friends.
Funds raised through the program are being utilized to support various Veterans Transition Programs that in turn will assist our Veterans who suffer from various challenges they face through their day to day lives.
We invite you to share your story or the story of a loved one for inclusion in the 2023 edition. Simply complete the admission form, provide a photo of your veteran if you can (does not need to be in uniform and story can be submitted without a photo).
You can find a copy of the admission form at the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command website or stop by Branch 643 and pick one up. Submissions for the next book (2023) must be forwarded to Shelley Sing, Chair Branch 643 Military Recognition Book program by April 15, 2023.

Updated Clubroom Operating Hours – Thursdays
As approved at the recent General Meeting, the Thursday operating hours for the Clubroom will change to a 4:00pm opening. The change is effective starting Thu Jan 12, 2023. Clubroom operating hours for Friday and Saturday remain the same. The change is the result of low customer attendance during the early afternoon period on that day.
